Does your Amazon only like you and bite everyone else? Of course! Most parrots only bond to one person.
There's an easy fix for that though... Get a cockatoo! A moluccan cockatoo is JUST LIKE a golden retriever, sweet, laid back, completely delightful in all ways, absolutely perfect.
This website might illuminate things for the non-bird people -- warning, turn off your speakers if you are somewhere that loud screaming is an issue.
The previous links are, apparently, Martha Stewart's Bird Guy. He's a smart one, that guy. I'm going to have to run right out and get a cockatoo because apparently all of my birds are defective and will only like one person ever.
(NB: It is completely possible to teach just about every parrot in the universe to interact with multiple people in a household, even if they prefer one. It just requires patience and earning their trust. Yes, even Amazons.)
