First, an apology. I've been away from the internet a damn lot for about the past year, and while ambersaigh's been around more than I have, this community and it's membership is more my responsibility than anyone else's. I do apologize for the lapse in tagging, dealing with memberships and prodding people into making posts snarky. Life happens.
Second, there were probably a lot of applicants who got ignored for a rather long amount of time over the past... many months. The other moderators have been great about helping out when they could, but it's a time consuming ordeal, especially when there's fifteen new applicants or more a day. If anyone you know applied and just got ignored, first, I'm sorry, and second, you might encourage them to re-apply. This doesn't mean they'll get accepted, but it does mean I can hopefully at least consider them this time around.
Third. Snark. There are about fifteen different recent complaints about the lack of snark in posts, and I agree with them. This is a snark community, not stupidpetowners. Please, please make sure your posts about people being stupid with pets contain snark. This is not just a community to complain about bad pet owners, we want to be amused in the face of bad pet ownership. Members have full permission to comment on posts that do not contain snark and point this out. Please do so. Alternatively, you can tell a moderator.
