Yea I work for Paws and Claws Critter Care...I am looking for a more permanent hour job with pet sitting as a supplement. I really need a job where I drive to ONE place, or at least get fully reimbursed for gas...:(
Hopefully you can find one soon. Gas prices are going to get worse for the summer I'm sure.
It sounds like your job will take clients from all over SD. Do you like the people that work there? Sometimes I have clients asking for kennel or pet sitter recommendations. What are the rates like where you work?

Right now we have half hour visits at $16, and hour visits at $20 with a $5 mile charge if you are 25 miles away from where the sitter is at. We actually don't have many people working for the company; I am mostly east county and wherever else is needed, and there is a north county person and two other people who do this job as a supplementary job...my car is just so old and worn, I need a more stable, better paying job. I really don't want to stop doing this, but sometimes you have to be selfish...:( I adore my boss though. She is the nicest, sweetest person you'd ever come across...
I can't resist throwing a recommendation for Bruce Haley in here, too. He's the one that took care of my cats when I lived in San Diego and was stationed on a boat (I was underway a lot, blah). He's rather wonderful, my kitties were always sleek, happy, unstressed, and looked at me like "Yeah, yeah, where's Bruce?!?" when I got home.
My journal is friends only, did you read a really early entry? I don't mind because I don't think you're a psycho or anything (heehee) but I just wanted to make sure my filters are working right...;)
I saw it was friend's only, but looked anyhow, since some people leave a few entries open. You had quite a few, but now that I look back they were all from December. So it seems your recent ones are hidden. But you might want to go back and lock the old ones so random people can't see them.
Actually, the ones from that December and earlier weren't an issue...I had to make my journal friends only because my fiance's nosey family was reading my journal (even though they don't have accounts; Dan showed them my journal...) and I had written something about my fiance's father and sister (which were totally true!) but his sister and cousins got all pissy about it, so I just locked it...the earlier ones don't mention anything about them...
