** * * * WARNING * * * **

This snark, in all seriousness, contains and refers to what could be considered graphic material.
It's a horrible, deplorable situation but I have to blow off steam about some of it.
I hope you all understand, and those of you who cannot handle it should not read it.
Thank you.  (This warning is not part of the snark.  I'm serious.)

So apparently some sick, twisted, sadistic bastard or bastards up in Michigan has, over the past couple of months, been taking out aggressions on local wildlife and pets.  They're not sure whether whoever it is is just dumping the evidence in the area, bringing animals in from outside the area, or taking his/her/their victims from the immediate area, but one thing is for sure: Someone is depraved.  First coyotes and foxes, wildlife, started showing up skinned and mutilated on the sides of rural roads.  But more recently, dogs have been showing up.  Three rottweilers, three pit bulls, a Labrador, a terrier mix, and a cocker spaniel have been found among the dead, all skinned, some mutilated, three decapitated.  All in all, the situation is obviously not safe for any kind of animal to be unsupervised for any amount of time.

This is a poster situation for why "unsupervised outside dogs are BAD."  However, not to fear!  One woman whom the reporter of this particular article spoke to fears that the psychos who are doing this may already have one of her dogs, so she has decided she will be taking NO CHANCES with her remaining dog.  She has employed a method that will keep her dog safe, and declares herself protective over her animals for good reason.  Nope, nobody is ever going to hurt HER pet, now that she has taken the ULTIMATE PRECAUTION.

So what is this super-measure that will prevent her dog from falling victim to inhumane sickness?

She's now on cable.  Yeah baybee.

("I don't want to take a chance of anything happening and somebody just trying to grab her," Hart said. "I'm just very protective, and this is exactly why.")
