Too many pets, must spay and neuter!! But I'm going to breed this rescued dog from an abusive situation first! All animals should have the chance to breed at least ONCE! LOL She's so innocent she deserves the chance to experience motherhood!
I ran into this woman at work (pet store) and at first commended her on rescuing the dog she had. Gretchen is a german shepherd, picture posted on the site. The dog came from a horribly abusive situation. The dog isn't eating well and hasn't been able to put on weight for her. So she said the dog was going into the vets for blood work to find out if something else is wrong. No biggie, she's doing the right thing there.
Then she goes on to tell me about her business and how she's going to be making vegetarian pet food. I can't really say anything mean or I'll get in trouble so I kind of just kept quiet at this point. I know for some dogs who have severe allergies, it's the only option, but pushing it for all dogs in general is wrong.
THEN!! She tells me she plans on breeding this rescued dog, Gretchen. The dog is four years old and from her mouth came the words, "All animals should have the chance to breed once." !!!! She promotes spaying and neutering on her site but claims all animals should have that one chance. I kind of just slowly edged myself away from her. Had I been somewhere else, off the clock, I would have handed it to her. Yeah, you're right lady, I should have bred my deaf cat. If all animals had that chance, we'd be up to our eyeballs in cats and dogs!
