i work in the poetry and rare books room in capen. i deal mostly with the poetry collection bc it gets used more. my favorite thing to say around anyone who works there is that i'm not an english major. i say it to explain that sometimes i don't know connections between writers or poets and that kind of stuff. but i like poetry as much as the ( Read more... )

so i'm taking an online class right now. i took one last semester taught by the same guy. every so often he puts in hidden messages in the notes that he has put on the bulletin boards. it says something like "email me for points".  it is just part of a sentence, with out the quotation marks ( Read more... )

"I hate to say this but it also tells the patron that you are incompetent in doing your job.

the biggest news is that i quit my job at lockwood. i was able to turn my internship in the poetry/rare books room into a paid job. it isn't doing the same thing as my internship. the job will be more office work things. but i get to sit at the reference desk, which is good ( Read more... )
