So:

The girl I've been subletting from is finally coming to take her things back. She's not taking much, mostly plates and kitchen things, and she's selling me the bed and some cabinets, table and chairs etc. However, she is taking the desk and the big, four drawered dresser from my room. There is another, much smaller dresser in my room, with three drawers, that I'm keeping. She's taking these things tomorrow, so I just cleaned out the main dresser. I'm leaving New York on May 8th, which is in like a week and a half, so I have to clear my room for my subletter and pack for the summer anyway, so I put the stuff I don't wear very often either into the box I'll be using for storage, or into the suitcase I'll take home with me. I only put the stuff I'll probably wear in the next week and a half into the small dresser.

I packed up the contents of the big dresser, sorted and packed everything away, and realized: I now have one small dresser that has one drawer full of underwear and socks, another full of white t-shirts, and one that's empty. THIS IS MY LIFE.

Although, to be fair, I haven't emptied my clothing rack, where my jeans hang and my cardigans hang out. I also have dresses and jackets and button up shirts there, but, let's be honest, except for my research presentation I probably won't wear any of that either.

My conference is in one week. At that point I will be done with the semester. Before then, I have to write: one script/story between the narrators of Don Quixote and Jacques the Fatalist (how do I get myself into these things), one 3-5 page analytical paper explaining that story, one response paper on Diderot, one episode of the Big Bang Theory, one analytical paper on convergence culture in which I think I will talk about the discursive opportunities of fandom in regards to queer representations and identity on tv (shut up it's relevant to the class and my interests), three emotional response papers for my feelings class (technically titled Language, Imagination, Community & Activism - yeah), and write my research presentation.

LOL. What is my life. It's all good stuff, I just need to actually get to it. I AM A GOOD STUDENT (I have a theory wherein if I say things with enough emphasis, they become true) I CAN DO THIS.

But good news! I was accepted for the internship! I'm going to be working at Current TV in L.A. from May 17-August 20, and probably be around for a few days on either side of that. Huzzah! I hope to have time to be really excited next week!
