Computer: Borked

I may or may not be able to update my legacy, or even play my Sims2 game in the future. Today, my hard drive decided to completely die. And stupidly, I didn't make an external backup (I work two jobs, help take care of the household with my husband, and am just ridiculously busy all the time ( Read more... )

Sorry to hear about your potential virtual loss.

On the other hand, maybe it's time to investigate Sims3?

I've tried Sims3, but really don't like their doughy heads. I don't know what it is, but they are really a little too Uncanny Valley for me. I also don't like EA's new stance on custom content, where you basically have to PAY for stuff people in the community make. Do the people in the community get any of that money? I don't even know.

It disturbs me on a level I can't quite explain.

Stupid Windows. >_< My friend's computer did the same thing once or twice while we were roommates. I ended up losing all my Morrowind save files (a game which is as addicting as the Sims)…I was Not Pleased.

It looks like all my Sims save files, custom content and Sims are gone. The old hard drive is completely borked. I am extremely Not Pleased.
