All Jessica could do was whimper. She hated that, wished that she could come up with a brilliant quip to toss at Doc Ock, but al there was was fear. Absolute, total, mind numbing terror. Nothing scared her more than this monster hiding in the skin of a tubby nerd. The worst part was the way he looked at her; an awful mix of proprietary, smug pleasure and cool calculation. It was like she was just another specimen he was looking forward to dissecting.
She hated feeling so helpless, but she was. She struggled against the restraints. They engulfed her hands, going all the way up to the elbow. Octavius paused a moment to watch her, and his smirk made Jessica’s skin crawl.
