“This simply will not do at all,” Emma announced, tossing the test scores on to the desk that stood between herself and Jubilee. “I know you think that because you were with the X-Men that I should give you a free pass, but Professor Xavier and I agree that you need to meet the same basic academic standards every other child in this country has to. This is a school first and foremost.”
“This is so lame,” Jubilee said, flicking the scores with her finger as she pouted. “So I didn’t pass a few tests. Whoopee.”
“You’re flunking most of your subjects,” Emma corrected. “You’re behind your grade level in nearly everything. We are going to fix this,” Emma said, leaning across the desk,” even if I must drag you kicking and screaming - literally or figuratively - through your coursework.”
