Everett looked in the mirror, sighed as best he could with his new bodily configuration, and said, with a great deal of clicking of his new mandibles, “There are days when I really hate my power.”
Sean made a sympathetic face. “I just wish we knew why your this happened to you in your sleep.”
“I’m not doing it on purpose, believe you me,” Everett groaned. “I just need to get out of range of whoever I’m getting this from.” He studied the vaguely oily looking shell that covered his arms. “I hate roaches. Have I mentioned that?”
