“Absolutely not,” Rowena Mox-Xanathos said, looking at the Quinjet and not bothering to hide her fear. “No.”
“Oh come on. These things are the safest things in the air,” Bobby sighed, tossing his hair out of his eyes.
“I do not fly, apprentice,” Rowena said sharply. “I do not like heights.”
“You won’t even know you’re in the air, milady. I swear to you,” Bobby said earnestly. “And this will get us where we need to be so much faster, without having to deal with teleportation sickness.”
Rowena folded her arms over her narrow chest and shook her head violently, black braid whipping around with each move. “No, no, no, and no,” she insisted. “I would sooner crawl naked across broken glass than step into that flying death trap. This is the last I want to hear of this, Robert Stephan. Do I make myself clear?”
“Yes, Mistress. Your word is my law.”
“Cheeky brat.”
