The problem with Everett ’s power was that sometimes he ran into someone with a power that he just could not control.
In this particular case, while reaching for Jono’s telepathy while walking down a busy New York street , he found someone with precognition. By the time he realized what had happened, the precog was already on a bus and rolling away while Everett found himself confronted with visions of his own death.
Three months… I’m going to die in three months from a-
“Yo, Ev!” Angelo snapped his fingers in front of Everett ’s face, snapping him back to the here and now. “You look like someone whacked you upside the head with a 2x4, bro.”
Everett shook his head, and the vision slipped away like fog in sunlight. “I thought I saw…” Angelo watched him expectantly, and Everett started walking away. “Never mind. It’s nothing.”
