I think I'm one of the few people who wasn't put off by how JP acted in Divided We Stand. >_>; Honestly it made sense to me. Not every writer is going to nail a character dead on but I can understand why Skottie wrote him the way he did.

I was put off int eh sense that he looked to young and his talk was way too casual with little of his style or panache in his tone. I can see how Scottie Young is in there, in the sense that that's how I'd expect him to draw Northstar and that's how he seems to enjoy his dialogue, but it really wasn't Jean-Paul at all. More like Hellion.

I can understand why Jean-Paul would have tried to be casual in that situation. I mean, if they had explained to him what all had happened and whatnot, I would have tried to just be 'light hearted' and casual too. I think JP went into it thinking 'Okay, just take it step by step, don't get commanding with him, just be easy on him' but I don't think any of them really realized just how messed up Vic was by it all which is why he reacted in the ways that he did.

I totally understand why people were put off by it and to be honest the first time I saw the pages I thought it was Julian until the actual text got put in but...I dunno. For some reason it just worked for me.
