“You see, this is why Dillon never brings his girlfriends home to meet us,” Megan said, inspecting the brand new hole in the wall.
“What? It’s my fault the giant robot followed me home?” Tommy mock-pouted. “It’s not like stuff like this happens all every day. Besides, he lives at Xavier’s most of the year, so he should be used to giant robots crashing through the wall.
Megan thought about it for a moment, then turned to her son. “He makes a good point.”
“He can make good points all he likes, I’m not bringing anyone home to meet you two until I’m sure you won’t send her running for the hills,” Dillon said sullenly. “End of discussion.”
“He’s so serious. Are you sure he’s mine?” Tommy asked, making Megan roll her eyes.
“One of these days, I’m going to prove that I’m adopted,” Dillon retorted.
“Not with those wings.”
