John's Other Woman
I've found out that it didn't take John long to find another woman. In fact, she's right under my nose. No, there is no need to come kick her butt, nor will this break up my marriage. In fact, I'm not even worried about the competition. Let me explain why, and it will all become clear.
The backstory:
A few days ago, I let Kea play on dailynoggin.com for the games. She took to it like a duck to water; in fact, she was fighting me for my computer. I'd come home, and make my daily rounds of email and such, and she'd pester me, "When can I use the computer?" "Are you done yet?" etc, ad nauseum. At the time, I was on Yahoo messenger/voice chat with John. Exasperated, I told her, "You can play when you get your own computer; mommy is using hers right now."
"Awwwwwwww," she says, full of four-year-old frustration and indignation. "When can I have my own computer?" she asks, ever full of questions.
"When you are 30," I reply, nonplussed.
Julie pipes in with "and married." Now the joke has been going that she can't get married until she is thirty, and John has heard that joke several times. It's just a silly thing we say to Kea to try to fool ourselves that she will always remain young and innocent. The next thing I know, I hear John chuckling over voice chat. I was a little puzzled, since he'd heard that joke before, and I was kind of wondering why he was laughing like it was fresh.
He typed to me something that I didn't hear Kea say. After Julie said "and married", she'd apparently said, "to Daddy?" I think John got a kick out of it. Hehe.
So I ask Kea, "You are going to marry Daddy?"
"Yeah," she says, enthusiastically.
"Well, I have news for you," I tell her. "Daddy is already married." I didn't say he was married to me; we'd had that conversation before. :D
Her response? "He can get married again."
So there ya go; Kea is going to marry her daddy. Nothing I could say would dissuade her. Hehe; I'm hoping that by the time she is older she will change her mind. :D
