I had my doctor's appointment yesterday, and I got some good news! :) They FINALLY got the operative report from when I had Kea, and the incision is the right one, so I'm fully cleared to try for a VBAC! I am very excited with this news. Of course, I went back to get my vital signs taken, and in the two minutes I was gone, Kea fully expected me to come back out with baby brother in my arms. The look on her face was priceless when I emerged with NO baby brother. She asked me "where's brother?" She was incredulous and quite upset to learn brother was still where he belonged--in my tummy.
I got the stroller last night; everything is about in place for Caelen's arrival. Just a few more loose ends to tie up. Clothes-wise, I'm set for a bit for him. I just need some baby towels and bottles and a few more odds and ends. Using the old crib is a no-go. I don't have the parts to convert the crib, and I've been trying to get ahold of the company for three weeks to get replacement parts with no success. My emails have been returned as undeliverable, and my phone calls have been unanswered. So, once he's old enough to outgrow the co-sleeper, I'll have to get a crib for him. I have a bit more time on that than everything else, but I was hoping to use Kea's old crib. Apparently, though, with the big recall, the company that made her crib went out of business. Her crib was not part of the recall, though, in case you were wondering.
Well, we have a lot to do today even though I am off. Time to hit the ground running.
