Originally uploaded by vespatheticAt Target this evening I came across a set of illustrated "war" cards in the dollar spot. The packaging was cheap, crude, and coming unglued. Two of the 9 cards are missing, but since I don't plan on playing and all the illustrations for each numeral are the same, I think I'll survive.
The first few cards seem to show an evolution of military history until stopping at card 6 to focus on becoming more and more flamboyant.
These cards have been fueling the fires stoked over the weekend's twin sessions of first edition D&D. I was hoping there would be a this session this evening but as its already 8pm I'm starting to doubt it. Just as well since Skully had her big day at the vet this morning and now is just a little bit less of a lady than before.
