Boku Unmei no Hito Desu episode 3
Back in the office, investigation is in process. Makotos' colleagues are intrested in who is the guy he was talking with(why does he want to kill him) and did he find new girlfriend. He honestly answers that he knows Sadaoka from highschool and no girlfriend but they are suspicious anyway.
Haruko and Yotsuya did presentation on perfect traits for partner and after Yotsuya again brings on Sadaoka as perfect guy in every way. But Haruko is firm that he is not for her and tells Yotsuya to date him instead. Yotsuya is a good friend, showing not a bit jelousy that Sadaoka is obviously into Haruko. She wants to cheer her on. She asks for "destiny guy" and Haruko doesn't know what to say. She thinks he is a good guy. What?! She said nice thing about him! Yotsuya is determined to see who is better and invites herself to evenings' gathering.
And it does not go well. Sadaoka wins all the points by being charming, caring and funny. Also plays on guitar that Lenon thing he did in highschool. Tbh it is getting old for me to hear it but girls love it. And Haruko is smiling brightly. Crap.
Makoto returns home to find even God playing same song on guitar. Lol. He tells Makoto to embrace music as his ally. For example he never opened that fancy cd collection he bought after concert. Playing a song he asks Makoto what it is and after he has no idea God reveals it to be Wedding March. His goal is to memorise every song in a week. If he does 20 a day he can do all 100. Who will listen Mendelssohn, him or Sadaoka?
Next day Makoto indeed starts listening to cds and memorising songs. His colleagues are preoccupied with other things, like being in Yotsuyas' presence, cause that is good luck, they believe. Of course when they find out Makoto went to drink with her they want him to introduce them and they don't believe when he says he may be hated by her.
Well i wouldn't say hated but she is most definitely pushing Sadaokas' good traits for Haruko to see. Surprisingly Haruko doesn't share her opinion and is kind of defending Makoto. Though girls are really cute together. While being on hold to hear potential patron, Makoto finds himself recognizing music as Heaven and Hell. He talks with his boss about such upbeat music having such a name. But Makotos' call gets trough and patron refuses contract. Bummer. His boss points that it is in tune with composition.
Later boss rushes in elevator to watch some rugby match when he sees Harukos' Director few metars away. This time he stops door from closing and they get to be awkward together for few floors. Though she is in better mood now. Makoto is still at work and recieves a call from Harukos' dad who wants to water dispenser for his home too. He invites Makoto to come to his house and Makoto gets nervous. After work he goes to see Haruko but office is empty. He gets little better when hears Verdis' Triumphant March on the street and goes home with a bubble of confidence. Which is quickly burst when he opens door and God gives him yellow card for getting confident ahead of time. Why did he go to her office? If he wanted to talk with her isn't phone better way? While at it why doesn't he still have her number? Another yellow card for saying it is impossible before he even tried. Sheeesh, nagging already and not even married yet. Though i would like me some Yamapi wife.:) God hands Makoto a paper and a pen telling tomorrow is his last chance, he can't come back if he doesn't do it.

Showing him pictures, talking about her liking sumo, and when rainbow picture is out he confesses of being a boy on that picture. Parents are in disbelief, even so when Haruko enters and is annoyed to see him there. She shares that they work in same building, Makoto starts apologizing but when she goes out he follows intent on handing her his number. The mood is wrong and she gives him cold sholder so he backs out crumbling note in his hand.
That evening he finishes memorizing songs and calls God to come out. Nothing happens and he is all alone. Parting Song by Chopin is playing. How fitting.
Next day, Director announces that they will be having drinking night with company next door. Guys are all thrilled to have Yotsuya sit by their side. That is untill the night comes and only Harukos' Director came. Guys are all bummed but they quickly recover having to drink and eat. Also Director talks about Yotsuya being single and all. Makoto meanwhile talks with his only female coworker about destiny when he recognizes melody playing as Schubert' The Devil. Enters Sadaoka with 3 pretty girls. He greets Makoto and is right away invited by Makotos' coworkers to have a drink. Of course they want to use his moteki but he declines and returns to girls. Makotos' coworker: If you want to kill him i'll help you. HAHAHA!
Later, Makoto again meets Sadaoka in the bathroom and shares how his coworkers are jealous of him. But Sadaoka sighs that its not as fun as it seems. He drops the bomb: tomorrow he will propose Haruka. What?! But they don't even date! His reasoning is that she will see how serious he is if he talks about marriage. Also Yotsuya gave him tumbs up.
He gets home in low spirit only to be surprised by God hiding in wardrobe. Does he secretly want to be boogeyman? He is like but yesterday you were searching for me. Ha. He tells that situation is not good and Makoto should use stalling tactic tomorrow.
So Makoto goes to her home to install dispenser, determined to do something, only to be told that she already left to her old highschool with her friend. Not good.
And Sadaoka is one smooth operator. He did not expect for his teacher to remember him but she kept talking about that Lenon performance he had with group. He points to the place and Haruko is confused. But he reminds her that he asked her out there and she refused. Makoto fails to enter school ground and manages to find place where he can see Haruko and Sadaoka. After initially being serious she smiles. Song for the moment: Wedding March. Makoto seems to know there is nothing he can do.
Later he is sitting by the open playground all depressed when 2 boys ask him to play baseball with them. He is not in the mood but though they are rude initially, they make effort to politely ask him to play, he does. It is cute to see this when you know Kame loves baseball. Anyway, ball falls on the path and Makoto goes to fetch her, only to see Haruko. He congratulates her sayong he heard about it from Sadaoka. She reveals she refused and Makoto is confused cause he clearly saw her smiling. It was Wedding March, so unfit for the moment, that made her smile. She knows it was wrong of her. Just then kids grow impatient and call him to come back. When she tells him goodbye(with smile) kids chant that he was dumped. Looool. He is ready to kill them, or just sends them to hospital when freezes and runs to Haruko. He asks her to later take his number, now is not ready. She is confused but he explains that score at the moment is same as beginning of his phone number. When they finish, if he is lucky, there will be his number on board. Also kids he is playing with are named Akai and Ito(akai ito=red thread of destiny that connects soulmates). This is amazing. But Haruko asks why would he go that far for number and he right away replies it is because he wants to talk to her. This kinda gets to her but she brushes it off. When she comes home her parents are disapointed, they expected Makoto to be with her. Mom even made tons of food and sauce.
Later she goes by the field and dials the number on the board. It gets trough and Makoto is on the line. She confesses not believing he will make it and he agrees. He ripped his pants while playing seriously, that makes her chuckle. And then he hears Clair de Lune by Debissy. For a few long moments they are connected by music(there is even a full moon)and then Makoto asks her to eat nabe with him. He explains that his friend is former wrestler and now owns a restaurant. He never went before so he can't guarantee but she knows the place and also always wanted to go there. Awesome. He asks if she will go with him and she agrees if she can bring a friend. Which he is happy to comply with. They say good night and happiness washes over Makoto. Seriously he looks like he will start dancing with strangers on the street.
Once home he opens celebratory beer on his terrace when God appears. He thinks that Makoto doesn't realize how grave situation is when Haruko cast aside guy like Sadaoka. Makoto brushes it aside but God warns that she wears impenetrable and his regular attacks won't work.
We see Haruko sitting by the dinner with her parents when her dad starts praising Makoto. Haruko tells lightly that she may never marry, be it Makoto or anyone. It has to do with marriage. And now i'm intrigued.
