Tag problem - now that we speak of Hana Kimi twdrama as Hana Kimi, what do we tag the jdrama with? Hanazakari no Kimitachi e? Or as the article below mentions, something like "hana kimi: ikemen paradise"?? The mod can decide on this. :)

Okay, so what I refer to is this:

Oh god, I know! Sure, his hair was a little long, and SUDDENLY he had 20/20 vision, and ZOMG he might've been weird at first, but 5 minutes after seeing him, I was hooked.
...Actually, I was like that with everyone.
My favorite part with Mei Tian was when he was talking in his office with Rui Xi about his childhood, and in the end, it was all from a drama that he watched. XDDD

That...would be pretty damn awesome. And now I'm getting ideas about Rui Xi and Xiu Yu and Jian/Qian allllllll meeting Mizuki and Sano and Nakatsu. xDDD That would be crazy cool.

I remember watching the previews for Ep. 15 and just thinking, 'Nooooooooooo, Xiu Yi, don't kill yourself, I loooooooove you and your GYAness!', and then actually watching the episode, I was just, '...Eh? Xiu Yi and Julia! Now when did THIS happen? [Not that I don't like it, Xiu Yi/Nakatsu and Julia would be a cute pairing ♥]'

Definitely the beginning has to be in it, or else, what's really the point of the story? [Or maybe I'm thinking the wrong thing...] With the summer job/holiday plot, I'm thinking that they could have that, but also not, like what you said about the job. Hm, actually, they could just take out the job plot, but have the three be there just on vacation? I dunno, that might not actually make a difference. XDDD

Although I agree with you about the Xiu Yi cheating plot, that really was the only time that Himejima got his 5 minutes of 'OHMYGOD, I actually exist'ness. He's one of my favorite characters in Hana-Kimi [I like all of them, actually. o_O] so not seeing him a lot, especially during the festival, in the TW drama made me sad. D:

Ah, I just remembered, in the TW drama, there's that one part where Rui Xi had asked Qian if he ever saw Tokyo Juliet, and he said that he didn't. XDDDDDDDDDD I love when they do stuff like that, it was hilarious. [And Rui Xi was watching ISWAK one day...x]]

Oh god, I LOVED the little Shizuki/Umeda plot, if they take that out, I'll be mad.

Ooo, definitely the side characters. Kayashima = Definitely love, as is Nakao [:squeak:] and Kadoma and Kujo [:loves for the subtle Kadoma/Kujo pairing.: xD] GYA! Mahahah, I love Xiu Yi/Jiro. Wonder if Ikuta Toma will be as ridiculously hilarious as Jiro was. :3

I'm anticipating the kissing scenes. In Hua Yang, there were only...:thinks hard because it's been a while since I've watched it: two, right? But then there were all of those other cute fluffy scenes [Qian falling on top of her, Xiu Yi crawling into his bed]. And then at least two more kisses afterwards, that'll be in the second season [or else D:<]. Hm. Japanese dramas usually don't have a lot of kissing, do they? Or at least the ones that I've watched don't. Oooooo, I really can't wait for that Onsen/Bath house scene...heheheh...;P

AH! I wonder what the OST will sound like. I loved Hua Yang's. :3

He's so reluctant about being her support but they end up being like these odd friends and he's a little cruel to her for his own amusement but the relationship is still really sweet. I just love their interactions. The "sad story from drama" bit was to die for. Too hilarious.

Heh, Jiro was just in Japan promoting ISWAK there.. Maybe he could've gone and done a cameo on Hana Kimi JPN. XD!!

Ep 15 was just weirdness. I like Xiu Yi/Julia, too, but it just wasn't BUILT up in any way. Siiigh.

OMG I fail at manga names. Kadoma & Kujo are ..the guys who really like girls? XDD

Yeah Hua Yang only had two kissing scenes. And I wonder if the "water kiss" was even "real".. It looked like a camera trick kiss to me. But anyway, cute. Jdramas are not the best when it comes to kisses - that's kdramas.. Jdrama kisses AFAIK are tame and rather unexciting. But I hope they at least HAVE some.

Bath house YES. And the scenes afterwards where he's all "I wanted to kiss you", omgggg.

I've not been impressed with jdrama OSTs much but I think instrumental tracks will be better than on Hua Yang.. They were so cracky on Hua Yang, though I lovedlovedloved all the actual songs, like by S.H.E, Tank etc.

Mmhmm. It's like he can't help but help her, even though he's totally GYA and dislikes woman. I loved that scene so much, I'm a little apprehensive if it'll be in the Jdrama, even if it's a little thing. If it is and everyone likes it in the Jdrama, than the TW won't be so special. ;-;
...I don't make sense, sorry.

SRLSY?! O_O Hahah, cameo...;D Wow, I could just imagine him going, 'Rui Xi! When did you get girly-er?!', and everyone else will be, 'wtf? o_O' Lol.
Okay, maybe it's not that funny. x]

Yeah. I didn't get how he started to like her or anything, I couldn't quite follow it. @_@

:O! Nah, that's okay. :] I'm just good with remember names and stuff. Kadoma is the first year in Dorm 1 that entered into the Miss Osaka High Pageant; Kujo is the guy that Mizuki thought was harassing her, but he wasn't. He's also one of the best fighters and the guy that Kadoma looks up to. If you remember the ball, than Kadoma and Kujo went together. :]
On another note, Sekime and Noe are the ones who like really like girls and are always desperate for a girlfriend. I think Sekime is the one that got married in the end, and Noe is the one who likes to design clothes. :]

Noooooo, don't say that about the water kiss. >_>;; :thinks of it as real: In most of the Jdramas that I've seen, there aren't any kissing. ;-; ...You don't think Japanese people are that prude, are they? I know Korean aren't, and Taiwanese/Chinese more or less aren't...
Yeah, they need AT LEAST the drunkkissingmonster!Sano at least. :P

omggggggomgomgomg. i remember freaking out and spazzing and being all fangirly when he said that and rui xi was just all, 'did you drink? >|' xDDD

Mmhmm, me too. Usually I only like the beginning/end/insert songs for Jdramas, but they won't even include those on the OST. ;-; IMHO, I think Korean and Taiwanese dramas have the best actual songs on their OSTs. [Goong, ISWAK, and Hana-Kimi FTW! >O] Guh! The part where it's like...I don't know how to explain it, but where they play a bit of My Angel and then Zen Me Ban- I remember thinking, 'Whoa. These songs sound awesome. o_O' And then there's that one song that the two females sing; I really like that one. :]

My favourite jdrama had a kiss ...on the cheek. !! How tame is that! The other jdrama I saw had no kisses at all. Siiiigh. I'm hoping they stay true to HK's kisses! Especially when the twdrama version of the drunk kiss was so lovely. :D :D

And then there's that one song that the two females sing; I really like that one. :]
Xie Xie Ai? Or the other song, hmm, forget its title.. Oddly enough, some of the coolest songs on the HK ost hardly EVER play in the drama.. Like Xie Xie Ai and the song by VENK, I love both but I don't remember Xie Xie Ai and the VENK song only plays once. WTH!

I watched drama up to episode 8 or so and then read manga for it.. At first I hardly recognized any characters and once I made the 'who-is-who', the names were difficult to memorize. I must admit I wasn't too crazy about the manga, it was fun and all but I prefer dramas to manga anyway, so I wasn't that invested in learning character names, either.

What drama was that? o_O But dang, that is tame. !D: Some of my favorite doramas OTPs develop, but they don't really develop. Get what I mean? Probably not, but that's okay.
I'm trying to imagine Oguri Shun and Horikita Maki kissing, but then I see Oguri kissing Inoue Mao [because of HYD >_>;;] and Horikita Maki kissing Wu Zun...[because I was basically pasting her face on Ella's body. Oguri's just wouldn't stick. D:] I dunno, I'm a weirdo.

Ooo, this person made a video with all of the actual songs on the OST. :D!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk9L8fcujT8
The song that I was talking about was actually the second song played; I just love that song so much. x] :huggles song: The only time I remember it being played was when they were going home after the Onsen/Seeing Shin plot, and Rui Xi was sleeping on Qian shoulder. ...or maybe it's vice versa. o_O Anyways, I recall thinking, '...O_O zomg, love this song.' ...Yeah.

Ah, I've been a fan of the manga since around the time it first came out [my sister had boughten the first 2 volumes], which I'll roughly guess was around 3 years ago? Probably later, I dunno. The manga holds a special place in my heart, :3, but the TW drama just made me love it even more.

In the TW drama, most of the actors/actresses didn't really look like their characters, so most people had to rely on the personalities and stuff. I think that might be one of the sole reason why people might dislike the TW drama, because the actors/actresses weren't what they envisioned.
It was Jiro's hair that made me know that he was Nakatsu though. >_>;; I loved his hair!, even if it wasn't all blonde like I hoped it'd be.

It was Nodame Cantabile. I love it to pieces but as far as kissing goes, there's not much to speak of. It sort of fits the OTP though, I don't mind hugely.

Shun/Maki height difference must be quite a lot. Then again, probably the same with Ella and Chun. Height differences are cute though, and it worked in twdrama with the kissing just fine.

Thanks, I know what song you mean now. :) I also love it, it's one of my most listened to tracks on iTunes.

Well, the manga is the original and I certainly must praise the mangaka for coming up such a perfect fluffy fun shojo manga plot and the sweetest OTP there is.. I was all "Ehh I dunno" about Hana Kimi's plot when I first heard it but it just works so well.

Ahh Jiro's crazy Hana Kimi hair. Yeah, I think it was okay that they didn't look exactly like the manga characters. But the vibe was there and the acting was good and that's what made it overall so enjoyable.

Ooo, I was thinking about watching that. :] Since it's really good, then I'll have to watch it this summer. :D [In summer vacation right now, 3 months. ;A;]

Height differences in dramas are cute, but in real life, they're a pain. T_T

Welcome. :D It's a really good song, and kinda melancholic. I really like it, and the instrumentalish version on the OST.

Hana-Kimi was the first manga that I read with a cross-dressing plot, so I thought that it was pretty cool. I've read a lot of other mangas that had to deal with cross-dressing, but they're not as good as Hana-Kimi. [One's like Girl Got Game, Princess Princess, etc.] Girl Got Game was pretty similar to Hana-Kimi, with only some differences, and a shorter volume amount. [HK with 23, GGG with 10]

Jiro's hair was awesome. It was just...'*O*. Awesome hair. *O*'. Hahah. I think everyone was a little antsy about some of the actors appearance at first, I know Mei Tian/Tang Zhi Ping was one of them.

I'm glad that the casting director picked who they picked; sure, Wu Zun is hot and all, but he was a little...flaky[?] at acting, and Ella had her extremely over exaggerated facial expressions, but she still charmed everyone with her hilarity.
The guy who played Akiha was a little dodgy though...o_O He was a good actor, but he seemed to...I dunno, mean. Or maybe not mean, just...I dunno. :shrugs: LOL.

Yeah, it's an interesting contrast to the Japanese version. Everyone went, "Hmm I'm not sure" when they heard about the casting choices of Hua Yang, but everybody's going "w00t!" about the casting choices of jdrama... I'm not saying this means the Japanese version will suck but I think it's great people got over their prejudice and ended up really loving Hua Yang.

The photographer guy's actor, I wasn't a big fan. The character had a somewhat nasty manipulative edge to him. I didn't hate him but I wasn't nuts about him, either.

Do check out Nodame Cantabile, it was very manga-ish and well made overall. It was jdramas at their best, IMO.
