So, the bad news is that the story I just wrote is more or less crap. It has some interesting components, and the concepts have potential, but this incarnation is just plain flat as hell.
The good news is that I told myself I'd pay myself $10/page in indulgences, and I've written about 14 pages. I just need to write about the same amount tomorrow, and maybe I'll be able to treat myself (and buy a few gifts along the way).
