Last night, I created something so sturdy, so strong, so irresistably delicious, that only a Hurley bat could bring it to its respective knees. I made a building of spaghetti and gum drops! I first submitted it to vigorous side to side movement. That didn't work. I then submitted it to vigorous front to back movement. That didn't work. I made it go

Recruiters have a quota that they must fill if they are going to be promoted. You are now on a list of potential recruits, next year as your diploma aproaches, he will call you again. Hey you should become a Reservist, and join up with Wpns. 2/23, that way we can hang out all the time, especially since by then we'll probably be deployed. :)

Most likely. Although there is a chance they will send us to Korea so that some guys in Korea can come home so that some guys here can go to the sandbox. Realistically I think the sandbox is more likely.

Dopher, all joking aside you're a really bright, capable kid so considering all the options before you. The Marines (or the military in general) may not be the best one for you, but it is an option...and you're young enough that a 4-6 year obligation still leaves you with a large hunk of your youth to figure the rest of your stuff out.

Anyway...don't ever do anything you don't feel really comfortable with. It is your life, after all.
