I had an awesome weekend, and the highlight was definately Saturday. 5 of us ventured up to the Junction Pub for lunch, which was superb, yet again. We stopped at the shelter on the way home, so the girls could see where I am spending a lot of my time now. Then once we got home, Su and I played Rummikub, whilst the other 3 played badminton in the back yard. It was a glorious day, so it was a nice mixture of being indoors and out. We decided to have a bbq for dinner, which was yumbo!
After dinner Jaclyn came up to join us. She found us in the middle of me doing everybodies cards for them. It was quite interesting, although a little harder to do in a group due to the sometimes more personal nature of the readings.
After that we played poker. Most of the girls hadn't played Texas Hold Em before, so we were teaching them the way the betting works, and trying to explain the different winning hands combinations. By the end of the night they had it down pat. Jaclyn who had no previous poker experience at all ended up taking away the win... even if she had no idea what she was doing!!!
