Oh yeah, I forgot to mention I got the most bizarre phone call today. I was in Kmart at the photolab and my mobile rang, and it wasn't a number I recognised. The person on the other end ended up being a girl I havent heard from in 3 years. I was actually convinced she was probably dead in a gutter. SHe hung up quickly saying she'd ring back, but didnt. It was doing my head in so I called her and she hung up. I meesaged and said it wasn't fair and to fucking answer her phone. So she did.
She's 21 now. Living in QLD and working as a carer. Been on and off with some chick for 18 months. Sober for the most part, and now a diagnosed schizophrenic.
This girl was always a sweetie that just got fucked up. She was friends with the cousin of my ex. My ex's aunt used to let her stay there. She used to want to kiss me, but I wouldn't let her. Mostly because she was younger and off her dial most of time. We used to joke that when she reached legal age I'd kiss her. (Not that I would lol) She was a 17yo alcoholic and druggie. She was in and out of psych wards. I had to find her at the hospital once because she had been taken in by the cops because she was walking in front of cars on the major highway. I then had to calm her down enough to let them check her out, and then admit her to a psych ward. I was one of the only people at her little graduation when she completed like a month long 'schooling' at the ward. Her parents had fucked her over, and she had no self esteem. For some reason she was drawn to me, and I could see the good in her, I just couldnt help her though.
Nearly 3 years ago she disappeared out of my life. I tried over and over again to contact her, but heard nothing. Eventually I gave up, convinced she had probably drunk herself to death or something.
Why would someone keep a phone number for 3 years when they haven't contacted them. Why would she then call after 3 years? I mean she reckons she MEANT to call her brothers gf, apparently also called hayley, but then that mistake has never happened before. Why is it fucking with my head so much?
