So, there is a big film festival that happens at the university in April. Everyone is in an uproar trying to get this thing planned and running smoothly. It's my job to take in all the submissions, log them in to a system (that I created) and keep an ongoing tally of how many submissions we have in the office.
Now, far be it from me to critizise what the films may look like because filmmaker I am not. However, I do have to read through all the log lines and synopsis pages for each project.
Oh, the horrors!
Here are a few gems that I recently received this week. I have not made any changes to how these were written.
" Two secret agents are in the same hunt for the same disk, one knows about the other, in the end one will have the disk. "
" an experimental film about the events of 9/11 at the world trade center in new york city. "
" A man is awoken by the echoeing sound of dripping coming from the bathroom which holds the deepest, darkest fear of mankind. "
Sheer genius. My God, I weep for the future of film.
