that i love tom stoppard? i mean it. we're talking serious adoration here.
arcadia, people, it's cool, it's witty, it's got quantum physics... plus, i keep picturing rufus sewell as septimus hodge. not only because he was in the original performance, but also because... well... it's rufus. mr. sewell himself! he's all dark and tortured. and i'd totally buy him as a hermit.
oh! and the latin lessons! Thomasina's translations sound exactly like every latin class i've ever had. it makes me feel all privileged, like, most people my age wouldn't appreciate this scene the same way i do. because i'm special, dammit!
yeah. and now that i'm done being completely self-centered... uh ... well, i really seem to have nothing to say. what a shock.
hmm. i did see a movie yesterday. caught a free preview of 'old school' at the campus cinema last night. stood in line for an hour and a half with pam and owens and... some people they know. it was totally worth it, though. maybe it was the general atmosphere of 450 crazy college students packed into chem 194, but that was the funniest damn thing i've seen in a long time. will ferrel (or possibly ferell. or ferrell. i know there's a double letter there somewhere.) whatever. that guy who used to be on snl was hilarious. it was a little painful at times, but mostly just stupid. stupid-funny, but stupid all the same.
so there's my very well thought out movie review. now to finish the last 8 pages of arcadia, and maybe even get some sleep. woo!
