It's been awhile since I fell on my face biking. Detoured through an old Kia dealership yesterday on the way home to avoid pedestrians + cars, they do love to put chains on their entrances and exits at random, there was none on the entrance, one on the exit, which I realized within the last 5 feet.

My brakes work really well, so well I did an endo and landed right arm first, impacted both knees pretty well too. I sprained the wrist and my kneecaps are both fine(phew).

I still cannot comprehend how it is that people end up with head trauma in a crash resulting in such an emphasis on wearing helmets. If anything, they should make a flexible exoskeleton that redirects high velocity impact from the hands to the torso, because that's always what I land on. Unfortunately, my hands/arms are as valuable if not more so in my line of work than my brain is, so I'm out of work today(sacrificing doubletime to boot), and possibly tomorrow(if so, there goes my overtime as well.. but I already have 40 hours for this week, thankfully).

This is exactly what I do not need.

I thought the misery inflicted upon my life by Kia was limited to their automobiles. Alas, wrong again.
