So I'm finally at training. I really hope time goes by fast here b/c I"m ready to be in Russia. It's weird being here and being an alum. I feel really old this year, like there's alot of 20 y/o. It's not a bad thing, just weird and different.
My flight went well. Got bored at the airport waiting to board the plane. I went on a walk for a while, called a few people. It took a really lon time to get to the training site from the airport b/c we had to drop off a couple of other people. And they like to prepare us for overseas so they don't turn on the a/c and it's hot. I found out that they didn't have passport pictures of me so I had to go get those taken, then on our way back Deb's car died. I mean died, like Gertrude did. So then we walked and her roommate picked us up and drove us the rest of the way.
So my attitude here is not so great. Like I don't want to do the "reading" and the "homework" I did it last year and most of this more technical kind of stuff didn't help me all that much. So I'm very resistant, but at least I recognize this about myself and am trying to not give into it, but it's hard. And I knew I would feel this way. It'll get better the more I"m here and meet people. I did talk with some of the girls going to Russia for a while earlier tonight. It's going to be fun, but I just want to be in Russia with my students. =)
Well I should probably go and find a someone's book to borrow so that I can do my homework and I need to get some sleep since I didn't get much last night-that happens when you don't start packing until midnight. =) And breakfast is at 7:00 in the am. I'm normally not even awake at that time.
More later!!
