Shut Up And Sing:

A documentary about the Dixie Chicks and the resulting back-lash over their anti-Bush comment. I found it interesting but lacking. It was told out of sequence, which I understand was done for dramatic effect, but it felt disjointed. They also chronicled the making of their new album, but it seemed incomplete. I would have liked to know more about the actual writing of the songs, not just the recording. A good movie if you're into the Dixie Chicks, they're likable, just average people very focused on their careers and very into their music.

The Holiday:

I want to kiss the person who cast Jack Black as a romantic lead. He's everything I love in a man, funny, charming, goofy, musical and just a bit chubby. (love you Puppy!) I found myself far more entertained during the Kate Winslet/Jack Black stuff than during the Cameron Diaz/Jude Law stuff. It's the average romantic comedy in most ways, but I also enjoyed the friendship between Kate Winslet's character and Eli Wallach. A must see for rabid Kate Winslet fans like me.

Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny:

I love Tenacious D. I love the guys and how they play off each other. It's pretty much just a 90 minute long music video. I am also a fan of their tv show, and was happy to see a couple of nods to it, like Lee, Paul etc. It made me laugh, but I think it could have been better as a movie.
