AO3 meme from Lan
1. What's your first and second most common work ratings? Any surprises?
General Audiences (186)
Teen And Up Audiences (23)
Nope, not a surprise. Although, looking at them, I'm not sure why I chose to label most of those teen.
2. What's your most common archive warning? Least common? Do you consider yourself an adventurous writer?
The entirety of warning is: No Archive Warnings Apply (216)
Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings (11)
Major Character Death (3)
Pretty much what I expected. I lean heavily toward gen h/c with the rare veer into super dark/depressing. For Yuletide or various other challenges I can be a bit more adventurous though.
3. How many fics have you written in each relationship category? Is this more accidental, or do you have preferences?
Gen (173)
M/M (28)
F/F (11)
F/M (6)
Multi (3) {one m/m/m, one m/f/m, one f/f/f}
Other (2)
I'm sure that surprises no one whatsoever.
4. What are your top 4 fandoms by numbers? Are you still active in any of them, and do you tend to migrate a lot?
Sherlock (TV) (35)
Sherlock Holmes & Related Fandoms (23)
Captain America (Movies) (14)
Arrow, Torchwood, Doctor Who & Related Fandoms all tied at 13
Not all that surprising since AO3 didn't open until after I'd started to a)move away from Torchwood/Jack Harkness and b)after I got self conscious about drabbles and especially considering that watson-woes' JWP challenge is still running and even though I've mostly moved out of the Sherlock/Holmes fandom I still participate in it somewhat. (Total fic numbers from LJ/DW tags are different: Torchwood=172, Sherlock (BBC)= 137, Jack=129, NCIS=79, Sherlock Holmes (not BBC)=57, SGA=55) In general out of all of these the only fandom I consider myself even vaguely still active in is Captain America.
Huh, this is weird, the numbers above are from my AO3 dash, according to my works page it's Sherlock (TV) (35), Sherlock Holmes & Related Fandoms (21), Captain America (Movies) (14), Arrow (TV 2012) (13), Torchwood (11), Doctor Who & Related Fandoms (10). No idea why that's different.
5. What are your top character tags? Does this match how you feel about the characters, or are you puzzled?
John Watson (39)
Sherlock Holmes (36)
That makes sense considering which fics I've imported/posted to AO3. (Looking at the numbers though, it shows AO3 is counting things weirdly since no Losers characters show up in this list even though Jensen is definitely tagged in 10 fics.)
6. What are your top 2 most used additional tags, and your bottom 2? What would happen if you combined all 4 of these into a fic?
I recently deleted most of my "Yuletide Treat" tags and there were 50+ of them. That said...
Hurt/Comfort (42)
Drabble (26) {to compare DW/LJ's fic:drabble tag has 325 uses}
Yuletide Madness Drabble Invitational (5)
Alternate Universe - Coffee Shops & Cafés (5)
Again, these are perhaps not a true showing of tag usage but.. that would be doable, although hard to find someone who wanted a coffeeshop AU for Yuletide.
7. How many WIPs do you have currently running on AO3? Any you don’t plan on finishing?
I don't post WIPs.
tl;dr AO3 provides sometimes weird, but totally unsurprising stats regarding my fic writing.
And now back to the Yuletide treat I used this meme to avoid working on....
