Something came up, and I missed the game last weekend. How badly did Gryffindor lose? I heard the game wasn't that great.

[Private to Jules]

It's your turn now. What do you think about Matthew Kirkland?

Why, it was simply dull. There were hardly any injuries whatsoever except for that poor boy smashing himself in the face with a bludger.

Oh? Who was he?

No idea, just some silly Ravenclaw. Oh, but he was wearing glasses! There was quite a bit of blood from that.

I think the only thing that was hurt on Gryffindor's team was their pride.

I guess that's some excitement, then.

If it gets them to shut up for a while, fine by me.

Well I was expecting someone to fall off of their brooms or crash into each other, at least. Everyone looked so tired flying around and no one really seemed to be paying attention to Gryffindor's captain.

Oh, the poor dear. No wonder he lost, he can't function without all eyes on him.

Truly tragic. You should have seen the look on his face after Ravenclaw's seeker caught the snitch.

Suicidal, no doubt. Has he been put on some sort of watch?

Apparently not, I heard he tried to drown himself in the showers!

That's a highly inefficient way to go about it.

He's a Gryffindor. They're such a silly sort I doubt he would even know the proper methods of suicide.

Maybe he needs you to teach him.

Given how he is, I wouldn't have to teach him so much as say "there's a kitten on that minefield. Won't you save the poor thing?"

That's genius. But you know what would be even better? Gathering the whole house up, and having them race for the kitten.

It would be a slaughter. A slaughter! And even more ironic, the kitten would probably die anyway due to their own rashness. It would be a wonderful but horrible example of going into things without thinking. ♥

That's...kind of sick.
