The inevitable is upon us all and New Year's Resolutions are whirling. Mine are:
1) Get my credit card paid off. (ie get my financial shit together)
2) Get counselling. (ie get my emotional shit together)
3) Exercise more, get the muscles toned up. (ie get my physical shit together)
4) Call the Old Woman Out and tell my mother to become a human being and treat me like one.
(okay, that last? Not only is it a bit unfair to say it that way, it would never happen even if it was completely fair.)
Basically it can all be summed up as the one catchcry of "Get My Shit Together".
Some things are in fact happening - I am helping my Japanese swords-class sensei (who also does a lot of volunteer work with animals so his house is a tad... uh) to clean his house for a couple of hours a week, and instead of paying me a bit of cash each time he's going to add it up over the year and I'll get myself a nice new sword (a proper blade and not my bokken) which I'm pleased about as I'd never be able to save enough money for it otherwise.
Also, after a few fortnights of appointments with NETS (disability employment network) I will hopefully be able to get a few hours a week work soon to supplement the DSP payment! Yay!
