IDK, I just fail. Why can't I ever keep a diary/journal/blog/whateverthehell going? (That was a rhetorical question.)

Shakespeare Meme

Bold the ones you've seen stage productions of, italicize the ones you've seen movies (I'm also including television versions like the BBC in this category) of, underline the ones you've read or listened to, and add a star to any you've performed in, done readings of or otherwise theatrically participated.

Ok I know that looks pretty pathetic. HOWEVER: at one point or another, I have started reading Romeo and Juliet, The Winter's Tale, Troilius and Cressida, and Antony and Cleopatra, and also am currently reading King Lear and The Merchant of Venice. Also, I've memorized a ton of Julius Caesar and I know the songs from the '96 version of Twelfth Night. And can sing them. (NOT BRAGGING AT ALL, lol if you can even consider that something to brag about)

I SAW DAVID TENNANT HAMLET AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL.

daaaaah!

So many things I loved, I don't know where to begin! DT was amazing, and it was hard for me to take him seriously at times but I guess that's the price to pay for a little lightheartedness with your Hamlet. Ophelia annoyed me as she usually does (UUUUGH HETEROSEXUAL LOVE INTERESTS), but the family dynamic with Laertes and Polonius was very, very sweet and I actually felt something when she went cra-cray. Horatio was FUCKING ADORABLE. I felt the Hamlet/Horatio was a little more one-sided than I prefer it to be (which is, not one-sided at all), but Horatio's cuteness and loyalty more than made up for it. Ros and Guil were just a pair of lulz, and their sound effects were hilarfious (such as Rosencrantz's "Ah-hah!" to "Man delights not me"). Claudius and Gertrude were very sweet - don't shun me, but I always did kind of like that couple. I think her marriage to Old Hamlet was the more socially-accepted marriage of state, whereas she married Claudius for love (note: of course my feelings depend on the version I'm seeing). Also, PATRICK STEWART. What a badass. My Comparative teacher said that he had a teacher in college who was obsessed with him. "I don't know, I guess she liked the idea of rubbing his head?"

Anyway, that's all. Have some adorable for your time.
