Ace was really gone. Luffy clutched his comm, his hands shaking so much that he eventually dropped it. He slowly sunk to his knees, and then punched the floor as hard as he could. He left a huge hole in the ship. Damn he'd have to fix that. But right now he didn't care. His brother was gone. And there was no guarantee he would come back. Why was it always Ace he couldn't protect? That he always had to lose without being able to say goodbye? Making the farewell so heart-wrenching, that Luffy could barely keep himself from breaking again. It killed him, to be losing Ace, the one brother he tried his hardest to protect, all over again. It was like the world was taunting him, always tugging away his most important person. No goodbyes, only memories. Luffy curled his hands into fists, and just cried his hardest.]
