It could've been so simple. Easily slipping into his life, curling herself around him being exactly what he needed. The warm body on restless nights, the blonde hair falling onto heated skin, and the mouth hungry for whatever he could offer. She was a siren, calling him into her and it could've been so simple.
She'd done it before so easily found her way into the life, the world of a man so convinced she was truly his. Slinking into the role, the jeweled bikini tops and seductive dancers moves with such a lack of effort it was amazing to think she'd ever been anything else. Still at her core she was an actress and every time it was just a new role. He was leaving his wife, making plans to spend his life with her and she let him believe she'd be there for him.
Paulo too fell into her trap. Wide eyes bright with excitement coaxed him into the plan, into the deceit even though he didn't even know the game. Still he was so willing to just follow her lead and look where it got him. Six feet under and she felt like she was nearly in the same spot.
Buried alive in her own wicked lies and games. Buried alive because no matter how hard she was going to reveal to him, he had started out as her mark and now she felt as if the game had twisted around on her. It was winding up around her tightening its grip on her heart and on her mind because now she wasn't taking advantage of him, of his need for someone to just not ask about the island. Now she knew he was taking advantage of her, of her admission of guilt, and her willingness to just stay at his side. She'd gone from playing him to wanting to be played... just to make it fair, just to balance the scale she'd set up between them.
