So Jon has new cats which are apparently wild and crazy. I have yet to see them but I'm sure that will be rectified shortly. My own personal crazy / cute animal story for the day just happened. I'm driving home from work and pull into my street and there's this insane little puppy running around in the road, I pretty sure he's my neighbor's pet. And he just runs right up to my car, like its a big friend that will want to pet it. I fortunately stopped in plenty of time from hitting the cute nearly suicidal puppy and parked. He followed me around as I walked up the steps to my house where I calmly explained to it that no this is my house not your house and my hands are full so no I can't pet you and you really shouldn't run in the road you could get hurt and so on. I think he eventually got the drift and decided that he had more running to do and so he promptly proceeded to run off my deck (which is about 2 or 3 feet off the ground) and fall through the bushes adjacent to it. I'm sure he thought the bushes were just more ground to walk on and was rather surprised when they did not hold his little puppy weight. He was of course fine and pretended nothing happened and bounded off down the street. Crazy but cute... I guess that in that manner, little cats and dogs are like a number of women I know.
A few other brief updates. My "Joss Whedon is my Master Now" shirt came in today. Considering I placed the order on monday I'm both surprised and pleased with the speed Think Geek has in delivering their products. I highly recommend them. Also Holst Day celebrations are going swimmingly. In addition to my vast collection of Holst recordings (I'm fairly certain I have the largest private collection on the eastern seaboard, or at least that's what I think having never met anyone with more recordings than I) I added to that over the past few weeks with a biography / analysis type book by Holst's daughter, the score to "Terzetto", and a facsimile book with the scores to two Holst operas "Savitri" and "The Wandering Scholar". Ok, that being said its time to make dinner
