This afternoon G an I decided to head uptown to see the ice sculptures for First Night here in Boston.
First we drove in to park at Haymarket, $7.00 a day on weekends, is not unreasonable for downtown Boston. We hopped on the T and took the train up to Copley Square. it was very crowded. From there we walked down Boylston St., stopping at Starbucks to get me a peppermint mocha and G a hot cider. It was just starting to snow lightly. It was very pretty, big fluffy flakes gently wafting to the ground. We crossed the Public Gardens and went to the common, more ice, across the common and down Winter(?) St. to Downtown Crossing, Stopped in Borders Books for a bathroom break and to warm up a bit. Then on to Fanueil Hall. More ice. Then back to the car and home.
I took pictures. they are
here. if anyone is interested in checking them out.
Getting ready to head out to a party this evening.
Everyone have a safe New Years Eve and may the new year be better than the last.
