Human Element

Last weekend I learned the address of a friend doing basic training for the Navy. Remembering how important mail was during that time, I went looking for stationary to write a letter. After twenty minutes, I gave up and asked my wife if we still had any. She said we did, but as another twenty minutes produced the same results, I gave up and went to a local store. Three stores later I still didn't find any. I hadn't realized it had been so long since I wrote an actual letter.

Settling for a pad of yellow legal paper, I sat down and wrote several pages, found an envelope (we still have half a box), and dug up a stamp. Even though it was something I had done all the time not too long ago, it actually seemed archaic.

I wonder what else has changed while I wasn't looking?

done all the time, drawing, change, letter writing, stationary, archaic, don moore, stamp, donmo2re, cartoonist, envelope
