Poker - Back to Business

May 11th was my 1st post if your interseted in my donkey beginnings.

Well last month was kinda tough, having to dig myself out of a $2,000 hole due to WSOP, but on a good note I was able to squeeze out June and few hundred bucks ahead after adding in bonuses and rakeback. I've been really focused the last 2 weeks on updating my stock research, which I did. Last night I was finally able to start pulling some hands from poker tracker (Online poker tracking software) and inject them into my own spreadsheet to better analyze the data. Over the last month and a half I've playing 10/20 6 handed cash games on Absolute Poker and have done pretty well over all, considering it has been in short spurts and I am basically "winging it", which typically isn't a winning strategy, but I am going to hold off the next couple days so I can figure out all my stats and plug some of the obvious leaks in my game. So far I'm up $1700 in less than 30 hours of single table play, which is great, but far from a reliable amount of time put in to tell.

AP took me for a b-slap. They offer 50% and 100% bonuses up to around $200 each and then right after changed their Player Loyalty Program making it a bit harder to earn the bonuses...basterds.  However, they are one a few sites who offer rakeback for all cash games and tournaments that doesn't subtract bonuses from rakeback.

Mmy buddy T_Dawgonu has been doing pretty well at multi's. It seems like every other day he's finishing deep. He's missed a few BIG cashes and trips to Aruba over the last month on the flip of a single card. He did take 2nd in a multi cashing for $5k. I'm sure he'll hit something big soon the way he's been finishing deep.  I personally haven't played many multi's until a few times recently, in which I was chip leader in a few only to get screwed over by some bad hand or most recently couldn't get myself to fold AA's after the flop knowing I was beat. That probably is what pissed me off the most. I watch many amateurs every day call down to the river with top pair regardless of the raises their opponents throw at them, desperately hoping that it's just a bluff or their opponents are overly optomistic and for me to do the same thing drives me crazy!!!! Anyways, I hope to do some good poker studying which I hope will pay dividends by August.

One other thing that's been bugging me lately is my home game play. My bud T_dawg throws a little home game once every couple months and I have to say for considering myself to be close to semi-pro level, I usually SUCK. Most of the time it seems I start well and blow my stack trying to out-manuveur players who won't fold and by the time I start to pick up some tells the games over for about 2 months.  Now it's not like I'm trying to make a killing in some 20-$50 home games, but I've just noticed I've definately got some leaks in patience and it pisses me off a little when I should know better.

Hopefully, I can keep up with the posts now, however I need to bone-up on my exercise cuz I'm getting a beer belly and I don't drink?  Before the baby was born I took time off work and weighed about 175, when I went back to work in January I was 193. Since then I figured it would go back down once I started working, but I guess I'm finally being punished for eating fast food twice a day amongst alot of other garbage and now I'm up to 197.  I've been starting to jog by my house here and there and have gone surfing a couple times.  I think this summer I'll be able to surf maybe once a week and maybe I'll mix in some basketball.

GL at the tables or anywhere else I guess, questions and comments are appreciated. Donkeyherder

If you would like to check me out you can look me up on a few sites, pokerdb.com shows big tournament results. I play under "Donkeyherder"(Pokerstars),"Chipstacker2000"(FULLTILT), "donkeyherder2"(ULTIMATE BET), "d0nkeyherder"(ABSOLUTE POKER), and a few others. I've never had a single losing year.  I won a seat to the 2006 WSOP main event and cashed in the top 10% of the field of over 9000 players.  I've made 78 Final tables, including 11 1st's (50-1555 players).
