I hope you're feeling better! Having had my first allergic reaction to medication just a few months ago I can totally sympathize. I did the same thing...just kept coming up with reasons why I was hot and achy...and when I looked in the mirror and saw Rocky Balboa looking back at me I knew I was in trouble! I now keep a big bottle of Benadryl on hand! Scary! Good thing your hubby was there to haul your butt to the instacare!
Happy Birthday! I hope you get a little bit spoiled!
I don't know why but suddenly the song "Blue Moon" is in my head... :-)
I thought that was you on the Witches' group...the cat looked familiar! I've been trying to decide about the Friday night coffee...I even drove past the place to see where it was! Sometimes it takes me awhile to move into a new situation...I have trust issues when it comes to new people. I think I'll get there though!
Heh.. actually, I'll withdraw the comment about going out to coffee. I've decided to drop it (and other stuff in the pagan community) for at least the next two months...
There's some stuff going on in the community I wasn't a part of originally. But just by showing up, it unfortunately dragged me into one side of a stinky 6th-grade level fight (if we were talking 6th grade at, say, Hogwarts).
So... I'm going to stay a part of the meetup.com community, but for now not go to the Stealth Coffees, and the Aspen Grove gatherings, and the CUUPS and Conversation and all the rest of it.
It's triggering a LOT of my own trust issues with strangers.
Anyway, if you want to hear this in a little more detail, let me know.. there's stuff you should probably be aware of if you want to do anything in the local pagan community.
I know this is a huge switch from less than two weeks ago, but since then I've learned a few things.

I'm glad you are feeling better. That was very scary. I hope it clears up completely and that you never have to do this again.
When I was about your age, I went in to see a Rheumatoid Arthritis specialist because I thought the game was up. Hurt all over, joints swollen, could barely move. It turned out to be some kind of measles!! When adults get a child's disease, it's a killer. The doc rushed me out of his office before I gave the measles to anyone else and said I would break out in a rash in a week or so. Then it would clear up fast. He was absolutely right. Once the rash broke out, all the other symptoms disappeared. Unpleasant, but not too bad under the circumstances.
I hope whatever got to you has a similar end result. Take care of yourself. Happy b-day.

Maybe I could've just dyed myself blue and gone to the weekend Halloween party as Violet Beauregarde.
(Hey - I see you joined the Witches' group on meetup.com. You should come out to Friday night coffee sometime - it's a fun bunch of people.)

(J/K.. I'm glad it was caught early too.)
Ratatouille was very enjoyable. I went home, cuddled all the rats, and thought about ways to put them to work in the kitchen.
