OK, my fingers are reaching their limits

This is an update to apostate's post yesterday.

Last weekend we both got nasty nasty viruses. Most people like to call them "stomach flus". Not much fun.

I was done with being sick totally on Tuesday, and was finally lucid enough to notice I seemed to have somehow sprained my wrist, and ankle, and wrenched my knee. Owowow. I'd started noticing it on Monday, but it didn't seem as bad, so I ASSUMED, on Tuesday, that I had just not been all that clear, etc etc. See, I hate going to see the doctor, and will find almost any way to justify my way out of it.

It must've been the high temperatures, and I was floaty and somehow slammed my right side hard enough to do something that painful to myself. Yeah, that's it. That minor rash on my hands that showed right at the same time as the pains? Something I get every year, when there's an extreme weather change. Yeah, that's it.

Well... then .. it's Wednesday. What a cool rash sprouting on my legs, and spreading on my hands. And, wow... the right side is getting worse, and now the left side is starting too. and there's SWELLING. It's getting a little harder to justify. I think apostate's starting to get a bit worried. I'm just having a lot of problems walking, and managing to do much of anything. I'm deteriorating fast. The thing that FINALLY pulled my head out of my ass was when my middle finger starting quickly swelling, and I noticed how much the right foot had swollen.

Clearly I've never had experience with allergic reactions before, hmmmmmm?

So, I come stumbling out of my room (because at this point it's getting VERY difficult to walk), and show the finger to Sean and told him it was swollen and hurt like hell. He immediately stopped getting ready for work, called in, then took me to the Instacare.

The kind Doctor who saw me told me it was a thing I came in. What I had was either vasculitis or an allergic reaction triggered by the nasty virus I had just been though. Bleh.

One prescription for prednisone later, we're off to the drugstore.

I took the drugs, and by Wednesday bedtime was already doing a lot better. Today, I can walk around on my own again, and type on the computer, and do a few other things. I'm still having probems, and this post will be the last typing I do for a while.

I would say I'm at about 50%. We'll see how it is as the day progressess.

Anyway, it's my birthday, and I want to go (finally) see Ratatouille, so we're going to go see it.
