I think everyone's already seen this one before...but here's where I give you the explicit opportunity to opt-in/out of seeing most of my LJ entries, which can admittedly not be for the faint of heart. And there is NOTHING wrong with not really wanting to be exposed to the gory details of my life. God knows sometimes I wish I wasn't

Besides, I still think it's cool to have met someone from our SCA group who also has interests in the furry community too :) I can tell you of my pain and you won't think I'm "one of those freaky furry people" LOL! XD

Ew, girl love!!! (runs and hides)
Don't worry, I'll always think you're one of those freaky furry people. :) But hey, you can think I'm one of those fruit-loopy gay people. (laughs)
It is kind of nice having other local SCA furs around. I think Matthew would be very SCA-compatible...hopefully sometime I'll get to put that to a field test.

Don't worry, I give all my cooties to Trinsic/Erasmus ;) LOL!
Yeah, the Vermont furs still seem to be a very quiet list. Although the LJ community seems to be getting a little bit of activity (finally!!)
By the way, I never asked...do you have a fursona as well? :)

Girls always say things like that to lull you into a false sense of security.
I've found a couple of VT furs on Pounced, but most of those were...not quite my type.
You can check out some stuff on my furry self at www.fishslayer.net. I've also got an alt who's a coyote...there's no real text about him, but you can see him at http://us-p.vclart.net/vcl/Artists/Sarxory/siphfinal.jpg
There's a couple of lesser alts as well, but Iago is my oldest and most-loved character, with the coyote having become somewhat of...I guess a fan fave.

And you've got some real kick-butt drawings from some cool artists :) I don't think I've heard of them before, but they did a neat job :) I like the one by Rhodin, the shading so cool! :)
Hmmm....I've never drawn a newt before...*twiddles fingers*

I've never met another newt fursona IRL, but occasionally I'll see one on the Mucks. Definitely not common though.
I knew foxes and wolves and otters and such were common before I even got into furry, only because I had college friends who were into it before me.
Thanks! I like the sketches, but it's quite the irony that Daphne Lage made my first sketch when she was the Guest of Honor at the first Albany Anthrocon...yet everyone always comments on the Rhodin one. I wish I had a current link for him. I love what he did...and I shudder to think of how many pencils he must have gone through.
I'd be curious to see what you'd do with Iago or Siphedious. I definltely prefer non-cartoony and non-anime most of the time. Not really sure how that meshes with your style.

I tried my best to get it as realistic-looking as possible, using that photo you gave me the link as reference. I also decided to do something different and did it as a non-inked badge...they're a little harder to do cuz instead of inking the drawing, I have to trace out everything with a particular colour of pencil crayon (eg: black for the cloak, blue for the eye, golden-yellow for the spots and cloak ring, etc etc), then erase the regular pencil sketch and then colour it all in markers and then colour and shade it with pencil crayons. Whew!
I tried getting newt part as dark as I could go, but after a while, the black just didn't want to lay down anymore on it...Otherwise, I think it turned out pretty good :)
