career path
A few months back, I filled in for D, our Senior VP's admin and although I was quite busy, it wasn't too bad. One of the reasons it was so busy was because I was trying to do her job and my 1-1/2 jobs at the same time. TJ is very pleasant and I liked working for him.
D and I were chatting this morning and she let me know that she's taking early retirment come June. So now I'm thinking about putting in fer her job.
Since I filled in for her for the week & half, I pretty much know what the job is. And they didn't recon me for seeing all that secret stuff. ;-)
I didn't get any bad feedback from my time there, so I guess TJ liked me.
D said that TJ would most likely promote from withing our divison, so being one of the senior admins in our group, I would have a good chance at it.
Decisions, decisions.
It would be a level change, which means a bit more money. And it would be the next logical step on the admin ladder. Not that the group I'm working for isn't a great group, I really like working with them, but I have to look out for me.
