... when looking for the shunned. Have you harmed any of them?"
"No." Her jaw tightened with irritation. "I hunt the shunned, nothing else."
"Then why would they bother to tell Rebekah about you?"
"You'd have to ask them." Regardless of Rebekah's opinion, Randi didn't know or trust Kale enough to reveal her secrets.
~ Kale & Randi, Blood Charms
Last week was generally pretty good. Some of the real life stuff wasn't so happy-realizing we may heading for that hotel after all (and, yes, I know I sound awfully calm, but that's because we've been aware of the possibility for far too long and at least it's a better plan than being on the street), the mess up with iTunes over a TC ep being under the right title but actually being the previous week's ep (being worked on and they gave me 2 video credits; I assume being worked on means they have to get Bravo to fix it plus figure out how anyone who the messed up ep will get the correct ep), Taz has been working on a cold which means I'll be sick soon as well, a few storms and the associated headaches and desire to sleep. All in all, they were pretty scattered incidents, so not so bad.
Writing wise mostly rocked. over 21k for the week, 4 chapters revised (3 of them 3 times, the last only has been gone through once so far), and I started that Lesson I've been procrastinating on (hope to finish it this week). Also made some inroads on the website cleanups and finished all but minor tinkering with the 2012 whyspered moments layout. Did pretty good on most of the goals except the exercise, but I suspect that's pretty much to be expected right now: no scale to help keep me on the narrow, cold weather kicking up the appetite, the holidays not helping much. At this point, I'm just going to be happy if I haven't regained the entire 10 pounds I lost this year. :P
Anyway, numbers....

Pretty pleased with how easy it was to barrel through Charms this week, even on the chapters I wasn't too sure about. Just hoping that keeps going. :)
Although, yea, Thanksgiving this week: kids home, Chef home after Tuesday, a whole day lost to cooking, it'll be a miracle to get 2 chapters done. But, hey, not complaining, not too much anyway. For a bit there, it was looking like Thanksgiving wasn't going to happen at all.

Have a lot going on this upcoming week, and it might even be harder to get things done since Chef will need the laptop to do homework (without question), but I'm going to think positive, keep the usual goals, and be ready to accept if I don't get as much done as I'd like. Between the holiday, reduced laptop time, and kids being home, I'll take any progress I manage! lol Lots of baking and other cooking going on this week as well, and not just Thanksgiving day. Tomorrow I make cranberry bread (pretty easy, actually) and Wednesday I make the cranberry sauce and an orange glaze for the ham. Early Thursday I'll be making sweet potato pie, and the Dutch apple will bake while we eat. So, yea, lots of food things going on this week!
Thank goodness DII Admin day is Sunday and next month we give them all a break! Seriously!

Dinner for our Thanksgiving: Orange-Glazed Ham, Sweet Potato Pie, Kickin' Collard Greens, Corn, Cranberry Sauce (Chef picked up his jellied stuff, I'll be making a whole berry kind), crescent rolls, and Dutch apple for dessert. The older girls won't be joining us, so we bought less of everything on some Aldi's coupons my son's school sent us. We used to do similar things for Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner, but a few years ago we started trying to differentiate the two meals, thus collard greens and sweet potato pie. I never have been a turkey girl, though I cooked any that were given to us, so it's ham for Thanksgiving and Cornish Game Hens for Christmas. Without the bird, no stuffing-that's a Christmas thing now too.
The one thing we won't be doing this year is putting up our tree. We've put it up every year to
show our Thankfulness for Christ, but this year, with the possibility of being evicted, I don't need anything more to worry about, to pack, or otherwise to take care of if we do have to move in a hurry. Putting up the tree means more work getting out of the house. Youngest is disappointed, I haven't told boyo yet.
But I think we can be thankful for Him even without the tree to express it. :)
Today is going to be a pretty normal Monday-lots to get done as usual, but nothing really more than usual. That starts tomorrow, really. ;)

Yea, a busy one as usual. Better get to it while I can. Almost "breakfast" time! o.O
(To be fair, got a late start because I went out with oldest to do some last minute, late night grocery shopping, and then Chef wanted to watch Bones before he crashed for the night. Certainly can't deny him that. He loves TV and has already had to give up way too much of it because we can't afford cable. Poor guy.)
