Another One Of Those Days
This week is already off to a bit of crazy. I'm not sure how much work I'll get done today since at least 3 things will more than likely be happening:
1. Baby needs to go to the doctor. Looks like she has an ear infection. The fun part is that I have no idea how to get to where we need to go. Fun part for her mom is that her soon to be ex hasn't fixed the paperwork (in FOUR MONTHS of trying to get him to do so) so the whole insurance thing is probably going to be a mess.
2. Going to Staples to pick up cases, a mouse, and a pen drive for the man.
3. Grocery shopping.
Once I have a case, taking dragyncat with me to get work done won't be a big deal, but I don't have the case yet, so it's not going with us to the medical center today.
I should be able to get some reading done though.
Anyway, I guess I'll be doing my work later tonight, and working as late tonight as I can to try to get through this galley.
For this morning, instead of working on the html of some of my old whysper entries, I've already looked at the recent slush and sent one formatting rejection. I'm going to transfer my most recent notes on the galley from dragyncat to my desktop and get them pasted into my email. Then I'm actually going to try to read some of the slush to see if any of it should be passed on to the panel. I actually don't expect to get through all 3 pieces I have in the slush pile this morning, but I figure I can get through at least one of them.
I just woke up, get another couple of hours of sleep in a few (after the kids are off to school, as always), and it already feels like a long day.
Better get to it.
