I was visiting Justin and staying at his house. We were getting ready to go out for the evening and Justin had some big plan about how he and I and this other friend of his (a girl, but I can't remember her name) were going to go meet some semi-famous person and he was having the thing catered by this Chinese restaurant so we had to be there by 9pm to meet them. We were running late. I was in Justin's room frantically pulling things out of my suitcase trying to find something to wear, and then I finally found a pair of jeans and put them on, and when I went downstairs (Justin lived in a fancy 2-level apartment, which, by the way, was also full of all this really posh furniture) I saw that the other girl had her blonde hair done up in this really fancy 'do and she had all this really pretty makeup on, and basically looked classy and beautiful. Justin was wearing a blazer and looked pretty dapper too. I realised that I probably looked like a hobo next to them, so I ran upstairs thinking "I'll at least change my pants and brush my hair", which I did, but then when I looked in the mirror, I was surprised to see that I didn't look nearly as bad as I thought I did. I went back downstairs and we all hurried out of the apartment.
Walking down the staircase in Justin's building, we passed some guy who said, "Hey, nice pants" and I looked down and I was wearing these brown cords with a furry texture (they look a lot nicer than that description sounds) and he reached out to touch them. He said, "You should get a whole jumpsuit made out of this". I thought, "Jumpsuit? Who wears a jumpsuit?" and Justin, clearly more sensible about avoiding weirdos who want to touch my clothes than I was, just put his hands on my shoulders and steered me out of the building. We were running down the front steps of the big brownstone he lived in when I turned to him and said, "I didn't even mean to put these pants on. I could have sworn I put on some grey pinstripe slacks."
