Hey LJ,
I'm just going to get into the habit of writing to you on or after bout days. It seems to be the best time to do so because I have so much to recap. Yesterday, the Bosses played The Hustlers from Austin, TX and we did AMAZING. It was so f'ing hot though. Someone actually passed out and had a seizure, which was really scary. She was from Spindletop, so not a skater on our team, but it was really frightening. The odds were completely stacked against us on this game, but we did so great pulling together. I'm so proud of my team this year.
Last night I went to big star bar with a few derby people to celebrate the victory and this morning, the All-Stars took on a bunch of skaters on a mash up team from visiting leagues. It was AWFUL and the score was just a mess. We completely massacred everyone and it wasn't even that fun to do. We held them to 0 until maybe 20 minutes into the first half of the game.
It has been a fun weekend, but Marv was completely MIA for no reason other than just not being around to care. I just feel like we're drifting apart and it makes me sad. He's been my best friend for a long time, but I don't know how to force this to work without 'forcing' anything. It's been a long time coming. I just feel really confused about the whole thing, that's all.
