Yada yadda yada

Let's see. Not much to say. Life is quiet and good. Loveliness has ensued. Thank you, universe!

Hmmm... what happened since the last post?
Thursday was pretty much all spent at church. We went early for a work-day and tried to get as much as could be done while monitoring the kids who tagged along. I think we got a decent amount of things accomplished, though. Home for a bit to rest and scarf down dinner and then I headed back to church with Connor in tow to help with the Middle Youth social. Middle Youth. Geeze. I'm getting ancient. It was my first one to get to sit in, though, and they really seemed to get along and enjoy hanging out together. I hope he has a blast there.  :)

The biggest event of Thursday was likely Michael Jackson's death. The Internet was all a-buzz. Interesting thing, this Internet. I saw the news on Facebook before even a single major news station had dared to confirm it on TV.

Friday was "catch up" day from a week of not getting any personal stuff done. Groceries. House cleaning. Library. Laundry. And the weekly Sonic run, of course! (Who am I kidding? It's not "weekly" at all during the summer. It's more like every other day. But I digress.)

On Saturday, I decided to treat the birthday boy to lunch out. He chose Lonestar for steak and I had what I believe to be the worst steak of my life. Terrible. Crap. Oh well. Tim and the kids seemed to enjoy theirs, so all's well. Followed that up with a long swim at the Y where the kids all worked on mastering underwater flips. I love watching them swim.  :)
Later, I joined my aunt, cousin and his fiancee for dinner out. His *new* fiancee, at that, since he'd only proposed a few hours prior. Bonefish Grill for dinner. Disappointingly average. Melting Pot for dessert. Magnificantly yummy. And a great Cosmo tossed in for good measure. Good company. Good chocolate. Good times.

Sunday my honey bunny turned 49. (49?!?!!) Yes, 49. Dang! Breakfast. Church. Lunch out. Family dinner with cake and ice cream at home. Quiet. Calm. Normal. Average. No chaos. No catastrophies. Nothing broke down, burst open, or failed to work. Life's good, if only for now. I'll take what I can get and enjoy it while it's here.
