Gundam Seed Marathon
On Thursday I drove back to Davis and went to have more addicting Thai Ice Tea with Jeremy at 2K Thai. It’s still quite delicious to me. When we got back to his place we watched if I remember correctly about 15 or so episodes of Gundam Seed. Then the next day we watched more until I couldn’t stay up any longer because I was too tired. Yes I got too sleepy around midnight to watch more. So we woke up at 7 am on Saturday to watch the last two epic episodes before heading off to SF to meet up with DAC and Mike’s friends.
So this is how I feel about Gundam Seed (after watching all 50 episodes in matter of a couple days):
1) Animation is gorgeous to me. I really enjoyed the style.
2) I feel quite bad for Kira (the main character) since he cares so much about his friends to the point where he has to do a bunch of crap that makes him cry very loudly and be all emo (which describes a good amount of anime protagionists I bet).
3) Azthrun is hot……wish I could see a bunch of shower scenes of him…..there was not enough fan service with him…..
4) Mu was cool. His voice sounded like Gintoki’s from Gintama. Maybe the same voice actor?
5) Murrue (this is how the subbers spelt her name…) was AWESOME!!! Probably one of my top favorite characters in this series! She was a great captain the entire time and took responsibility for her crew. I was so happy when she and Mu kissed. I appreciate Kristen’s cosplay so much more now.
6) I’ve heard that people really hate Lacus, but I thought she was really cute and a good character because while she did act really naïve at times in the end she was very intelligent.
7) Flay was a frickin’ bitch. Every time she slept with someone I just sighed and told Jeremy how much I disliked her. Even when she died and while she did want to apologize, I still didn’t fully like her.
8) Omg all the colorful Haros were so cute!!
9) And once again the blonde masked guy of this Gundam series was QUITE SEXY!!! Man I guess I have a thing for masks because I did fall very hard for the other guys in the other series of Gundam with the masks. Also it doesn’t help that I really loved Tuxedo Kamen (Mask) in Sailor Moon growing up.
10) I need to watch Gundam Seed Destiny sometime but I may not get to it this winter break. Still, I do need to watch it. Finally my last comment I noticed a good amount of similarities with Mobile Suit Gundam. Also Cagali and Kira pulled a Luke/Leia……
