So Jeremy and I left Davis around 8:15 am or so and picked up Brendan on the way to Japantown. We arrived 5 minutes early and were apparently the first ones there. We waited around and luckily Tony and Ariel showed up. Mike and his friends also eventually showed up but unfortunately Ani was running late and could not join us until later.
We went around the shops and I bought a variety of things such as new adorable key holders since I was getting tired of trying to figure out which key was my apartment key or house key. I also bought lots of chocolate and a variety of sweets.
We also ate out twice. I ended up in the 2nd group with Tony, Ariel, and Mike’s friend Patrick and I had some good udon and edamame. The second time was for dinner later that night and I got to eat some chicken pot pie (omg I love them so much because I didn’t get any growing up!).
We also hit the racks of manga and magazines. I bought some JE magazines because I wanted the Arashi posters mostly and was happy that Mike paid $5 off of one of them as a Christmas gift. I was sad that there weren’t any magazines of Morning Musume I saw for him though.
The 7 of us DAC people (Mike, Ariel, me, Ani, Jeremy, Brendan, and Tony) also did a pika pika photo that turned out quite cute. I hope to get a copy soon. I should bug Mike everyday until he gets it done.
After we had to part from Mike and his friends because they had to leave, the rest of us headed off to the Metreon and hung out there playing video games, wandering around, and chatted until we decided to go find a place to eat, which we decided at the end to eat at Mel’s.
Overall, I had a great time despite spending a lot of money on stuff (but hey that Ichigo milk was totally worth it...man I love that stuff!).
Jeremy and I didn’t get back to Davis until around 10:30 pm. At that point I called my mom telling her that I wasn’t coming home until 8:30 the next morning since I was too tired. Despite that Jeremy and I stayed up just chatting and eventually our talk at midnight turned into one of how we viewed life, religion, medical advancements, and how homo sapiens came to overpopulate this world more than any other species. It was quite an interesting talk despite it making me just oh so slightly depressed as I went to sleep for the 3rd night at Jeremy’s couch.
